Dr. Paul Tam is the Medical Director of the Scarborough Regional Dialysis Program at The Scarborough Hospital, Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The Program has over 500 dialysis patients, including over 200 PD patients in its PD Program. Dr. Tam found the Scarborough Dialysis Program in 1996 after he served as the Medical Director of the Lakeridge Health Corporation’s dialysis program. Dr. Tam is the chair of the Ontario Association of Nephrologists and is the Medical Director of Biovail Contract Research, which has over 50 Phase 1 to Phase 3 clinical trials annually. Dr. Tam has involved in many research studies relating to CKD patients. He also collaborates with other 2 major dialysis programs published two educational digests for primary care physicians and CKD patients.

Mandate

• To maintain a presence on the web using our web site ISPD.org
• To serve as the liaison between ISPD and the managers of the ISPD web site (Multimed)

The function of the website is:

• To introduce and to promote ISPD to those who visit the web site
• To give information about and to promote the activities of ISPD
• To serve as a site where information (educational or otherwise) can be posted that would be of general interest to members of ISPD as well as the nephrology community at large
• To keep our site interconnected with appropriate other sites

Membership

General Membership:

• A minimum of 4 members including one member from Council or Executive

Chair:

• Should serve as the “Editor” of the web site as well as chair of the committee
