The ISPD announces the passing of Dr. Karl Nolph - June 16

The ISPD is saddened to learn of the passing of Dr. Karl Nolph this morning in Columbia, Missouri.  Dr. Nolph was a brilliant nephrologist and one of those responsible for the modern practice of peritoneal dialysis.  In addition, he was a kind, considerate person and we will miss working with him very much.

The Saving Young Lives project is a partnership between ISPD, ISN, IPNA and SKCF.

The Peritoneal Dialysis Outcomes and Practice Patterns Study (PDOPPS) is designed to advance the understanding of optimal practices for PD patients worldwide and to reduce barriers to PD use. A collaboration with the Brazilian Society of Nephrology and the Latin American Society of Nephrology and Hypertension.

European Training & Research in PD (EuTRiPD)
An exciting initiative funded by the European Union. EuTRiPD' s scientific goal is  to advance the current state of the art in PD by carrying out bench to bedside research, focused on the identification of biomarkers and interventions that promote survival and function of the peritoneal membrane.

New Pediatric Guidelines »
We have updated a few of the pediatric ISPD guidelines. It is our goal to continue to update these guidelines as they are released and approved.

ISPD 2012 Activities in Less Developed Countries »
ISPD has been working over the past several years to support initiatives to develop and expand peritoneal dialysis (PD) programs in less developed countries. The effort has been directed at supporting programs for both Acute Kidney Injury (AKI) and Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD).
