2008 PD UNIVERSITY
PD University offers a variety of continuing education courses on peritoneal dialysis for physicians, fellows, and nurses. This activity is jointly sponsored by The Wake Forest University School of Medicine and The International Society for Peritoneal Dialysis (ISPD). Further support has been provided by unrestricted educational grants from Baxter Healthcare. Additional funding through unrestricted education grants by Genzyme, NxStage, and other pharmaceutical companies.

PD University for Fellows - a 2.5 day course open to nephrology fellows. Course objectives will cover a wide range of topics including, but not limited to the following:
- Outcomes in PD and clinical considerations for patient selection
- Kinetic modeling and prescription management
- Fluid management in patients on PD
- Reducing and managing infectious and non-infectious complications of PD
- Elements of success in a PD program
The course material will be delivered by renowned experts in the field of peritoneal dialysis.

April 13-15, 2008 - Winston Salem, NC
April 20-22, 2008 - Bloomingdale, IL
May 18-20, 2008 - Bloomingdale, IL
Fall 2008 Program - Date & Location To Be Determined
PD University for Nurses - a 1-day course open to nephrology nurses. This continuing nursing education activity has a pending application for 9.3 CEs by the American Nephrology Nurses' Association (ANNA), an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation (ANCCCOA).
Courses will be offered on the following dates:
February 18, 2008 - Winston-Salem, NC
April 21, 2008 - Bloomingdale, IL
